In the villages of Kutch, tradition is like a seamstress, running between the threads of warp & weft going up and down, in and out, bringing weaver’s imagination to form.

Weavers use the extra weft method and weave classic and intricate motifs thereby enhancing the beauty of the product.

A humble wooden handloom sustains many artisan families & each product is blessed by the weaver for the long life of its end-user. Designs and patterns made on handloom can surely be replicated on power loom but the blessings and love of the artisan can never be replaced in the machine-made products. Most of the artisan families are today able to live with pride and promote their skills through well aware consumers of the benefits of handmade.

Are you one of them? Leave your reason for the love of handmade in the comment section below.
